The 1972 Latipac lists William's middle name as Branson.  No records on a William Branson Franks, our age, have been located in any data bases despite an extensive, nationwide search.  However, the NC Death Index lists a William Brandon Franks - DOB 8/1/53;  DOD 6/13/78;  Location - Wake County, NC.  Records show William was living in Garner, NC (Wake County) at that time.

Given the above and since "s" is next to "d" on the keyboard, I believe this is an example of the numerous spelling errors that have been found in the Latipac.    Regretfully, I am concluding that William Brandon Franks, deceased, is most likely our classmate.   If anyone has more knowledge of this, please contact me.  CLJ  7/19/09
